Rustler appears to be a Medieval GTA, and it will be released in August on consoles and PC.
Check out the newest Rustler release date announcement teaser, which announces that the Medieval action game will be released later this year on August 31. When the crazy game is released, it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch.
Rustler certainly makes an impression. The game appears to be a hybrid of GTA and Bully in the trailer below, as the player character goes rampaging throughout Medieval England in horse races and jousts, as well as other less honourable acts like setting people on fire and driving them down with horses.
“Become a medieval bandit in a wild open-world action game packed with pop-culture allusions,” according to Rustler’s official description on Steam. “Completing absurd missions, killing heroes, stealing horses, fighting guards, robbing peasants, and much more! Everything is bundled in an old-school gaming style!”
In a strange way, seeing this trailer makes me think of Shrek. Pop cultural allusions in a Medieval setting? Putting self-proclaimed heroes down and putting them in their place? Okay, so there’s no Puss In Boots, but could someone kindly add a large green monster to the game?
In any case, you may test out Rustler right now. The game presently has a restricted trial accessible on Steam, and according to the Rustler Steam shop page, it has been in early access for a number of months. The anticipated August 31 launch marks the end of the PC early access phase.
